This Virginia House family session fulfilled all of my Jane Austen dreams! Set on a picturesque property in Richmond, the Virginia House included a gorgeous estate and lush gardens.
I photographed my dear friend Kara on a warm November day, and we enjoyed wandering and playing in the gardens. Virginia House is the perfect location if you want a session that is set at a historic home with lots of greens and beautiful light.
Virginia House requires a photography permit, and that give us sole access to the home and gardens – definitely a plus when young children are involved! It’s so nice to not have to worry about crowds or distractions when photographing little ones. Plus, the property has enough space for us to wander around and explore, so there are many lovely nooks for kids to discover and keep them entertained!
