These Oatlands VA family photos were rescheduled due to rain earlier in the summer, but boy, did we luck out with a beautiful morning the second time around! We met on an early August morning to explore Oatlands Historic Home and Gardens in Loudoun County, Virginia. Mom and dad hadn’t had family photos done since their little girl had arrived, so this session was so special to them.
We played some games, walked around, smelled the flowers, and explored. Family sessions are so relaxed, and I always tell parents that they don’t need to worry about their little one “behaving” – we will get gorgeous imagery no matter what chaos ensues! However, this little girl was keen on taking it all in, so we had the best time together!
Mom had her hair and makeup done and wore a dress from the client wardrobe, all a part of the fine art family session experience.
