Photographing big siblings with their baby sibling is always such a special part of the session (and let’s be honest – the older siblings usually get more of our attention!). Although this session was a newborn session with the focus on baby brother, we start the session with everyone while the little ones still have our attention to get all those must-have family shots.

This session was particularly neat because it was all photographed in one corner of this family’s house – their dining room! Many families worry that their home is not photo-worthy or big enough for photos, and this is usually not the case. The main component we need for an in-home session is good light. This family’s dining room had a large window, so we just cleared a few chairs to set up our space. We were able to get so much variation in the space because of posing and composition.
