You will love this National Arboretum azaleas maternity session! The National Arboretum boasts luscious azaleas from mid-April to mid-May every year, and they are a sight to see! Spring maternity sessions always provide such gorgeous colors.

We photographed Lauren and Andrew’s maternity session at the National Arboretum during azalea season in early May. We were able to catch the pink and white blossoms, along with the iconic Capital Columns. I recommend catching the azaleas in the morning on a weekday before crowds appear.

Lauren wore a stunning Needle & Thread dress from the client wardrobe and was pampered with professional hair and makeup, all included with the Marie Elizabeth Photography experience. We enjoyed a peaceful morning at the arboretum, first starting at the columns, and then making our way to the azaleas.

Florals are a favorite way to incorporate romance into my sessions, so Lauren also had a beautiful and quaint bouquet of spring flowers. I can’t decide my favorite images – can you?
