Silver Spring MD Newborn Session

We enjoyed a peaceful morning together during this Silver Spring MD newborn session this past winter. I often get asked when the best time for newborn photos is, and I usually recommend the first two weeks. I wrote an entire blog post on this, but essentially, babies are sleepiest and the sessions tend to go smoother the younger baby is. With that said, I photograph older babies all the time. This darling baby girl was already a few weeks old for her session, and it was still perfect!

Newborn sessions at home are relaxed, low-key, and we follow baby (and parent’s) cues. I usually recommend feeding baby right before the session so they’re nice and sleepy, but it is totally normal and fine if we need to stop for another feed break (for baby or parents!). The wonderful aspect about being in-home is that we can take all the time we need for you to feel comfortable during your session.
