Studio Maternity Session | Northern VA

This Northern VA mother and her beautiful family joined me in the garden studio for a maternity session this fall. Natalie is expecting her second child, and it was so meaningful capturing this time for her. Her family was overjoyed to be able to welcome this second child at last, so they wanted to capture this fleeting time as a family of three.

The garden studio is located in the College Park area, outside of Washington DC and a short drive from Northern VA. I absolutely love the opportunity to photograph expecting mothers in studio because the studio creates timeless imagery that suspends time.

It is so simple to wish away this period of waiting – after all, pregnancy can be quite uncomfortable and we want to meet our little ones!

However, I find that it is so special to have these moments frozen in time to look back on. Not only will we enjoy remembering this time, but our children will, too. It is always better to remember than to forget.
