Washington DC Family Session at the Lincoln Memorial

I loved everything about this Washington DC Family Session at the Lincoln Memorial. Danielle and her family began their family roots here in Washington DC but were planning on moving.

She reached out asking if I had any availability to fit in this one last special session for her family. I couldn’t resist, considering how special this was for her family.

In planning her session, we knew we wanted the focus to be quintessential DC, but also personal to them. We decided to begin their session at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, a perfect location to showcase DC in all of her grandeur.

Danielle and her family had spent a lot of time in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, so we then decided to finish her session at Lincoln Park in Capitol Hill. This was such a lovely way to close out their session in a personal way, special to them!

The Lincoln Memorial is magical at sunrise. The way the light filters into the columns from the Washington Monument creates such a gorgeous, elegant scene. We chose to photograph their Lincoln Memorial session for this reason, along with the fact that the monuments tend to become crowded quickly.

We were able to bask in the sunrise and the beauty of Washington DC. I hope you enjoy this stunning Washington DC Family Session at the Lincoln Memorial.
