Being a Northern VA and DC family photographer, I know many mothers have their favorite mom hack. It may last through all of the early years or gradually change as our needs change. In the past, I have shared a few easy tips on how to get your child to smile for photos and how to prepare for your family photo session. This current trick that I am going to share with you is simple, quick, and a lifesaver for a mobile baby or toddler!
Anyone else have a child that will not stay still when you attempt a diaper change (or is it just me)? I have resorted to changing my kids’ diapers while they are standing up, but even that is not easy! We have also resorted to the toy shuffle to no avail; a new toy will only distract my strong-willed girl for 1.8 seconds!
Well, prepare for this life-changing trick. What is it, you ask?
Give your child an electronic toothbrush during diaper changes.
Bam. Life-changing.
Not only does this distract your little one for the duration of the change, but you will kill two birds with one stone! If your child is anything like mine, he or she may likely put the toothbrush in his/her mouth. Bam – an easy toothbrushing experience, too.
