COVID Photography Precautions in DC – What I’m Doing to Keep You Safe

COVID photography precautions in DC have been of the utmost importance to me during the pandemic. I have been safely photographing families since June of 2020, and to date, everyone has remained safe and healthy!

Keeping everyone safe is the first thing I focus on when planning your session. The last thing I want is for anyone to become sick, so I always ere on the side of playing things safe.

First and foremost, I want you to know that I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19. I am also a music teacher (you can read more about me here), so I was vaccinated in late winter 2021.

The next step I take in securing a safe session is planning a location that is appropriate for your session. The vast majority of sessions I photograph in DC are outside, so I am able to keep a safe distance while wearing a mask. Newborn sessions can be the exception, and I talk further about that below.

I have recently fallen in love with outdoor newborn sessions, so I recommend choosing an outdoor location if possible. For indoor newborn sessions, I wash and sanitize my hands and gear before and during the session. I also wear an N95 mask and keep a distance.
