Motherhood Studio Session | Lorena

This motherhood studio session with Lorena and her baby Chip simply melted my heart! I photographed Lorena at my Motherhood Event, so we had some beautiful florals by Petal’s Edge and make-up by Lori Nansi. Lorena wore a stunning gown from my client wardrobe.

What I loved most about this session was how Lorena was simply doing very normal things with her baby – from rocking to shushing, it was an honor to document this everyday beauty.

Babies and toddlers don’t always do what we hope they do, but know this actually allows us to capture the extraordinary beauty of this nostalgic time. As a mother myself, I find that these images – the ones that I may not have expected to love – are actually the ones that I find myself coming back to again and again. Why? They take us back to these moments. Moments that may have seemed insignificant or ordinary at the time. However, as all mothers know, the days are long, but the years are short.
