Studio Newborn Session

Daniela joined me for a studio newborn session that was originally going to be a studio maternity session – but baby Atlas had other plans! We initially planned this studio session to be a maternity session, documenting this fleeting season. Sometimes babies come a little early, and that’s okay! We changed the session into a petite newborn session to focus the attention on mama and baby in these early days.

I love when we get some images of baby awake during newborn sessions. How sweet they are! Sleepy babies make for smoother sessions, but Atlas was just the most darling, calm baby! It was fun to get the images of him with his big blue eyes. I photographed his full Loudoun County newborn session a couple weeks later, and he was still the calmest newborn. Make sure you check out that session, too – it was so gorgeous!
