How adorable are these Palisades DC newborn photos? We photographed Courtney’s magnolia maternity session in the early spring, so I was delighted to photograph their beautiful baby boy! This newborn session felt so cozy! In-home newborn sessions are typically so relaxed, and this one was no different.
We photographed the session in the primary bedroom since that is where the most natural light was – in fact, we stayed in one corner of the room! I always share with expecting parents that there is no need to clean your house before your newborn session. We will photograph in the areas with the most natural light in the home. Sometimes this is multiple locations, sometimes this is one spot; either way, we will achieve a lot of variety for your photos through posing and composition.
I also always bring a Moses basket with me to newborn sessions to get photos of baby by himself/herself so I can place the Moses basket in the areas with the best light.
