A Little Pep Talk

I can assure you every parent has tremendous high’s and tremendous low’s (often in the same day!).

Consider this your Friday pep talk. You CAN do this thing called motherhood, and you CAN do it gracefully and beautifully. That doesn’t mean it won’t be messy or you won’t have bad days. But you will emerge from these moments resilient and stronger than you were before. And some things will get easier. And some things may get harder.

No one, no one does parenting perfectly. Everyone makes mistakes or tries their hardest at something that doesn’t always work out. I once had a friend who has four kids tell me, “Remember, the only thing you have to do is to keep your kids alive. Everything else is a bonus.” Although I chuckled when she told me this, it’s true! Even on the worst parenting days, you’re likely still succeeding.

So, you can do this, mama! Congrats on being successful today. Keep on keepin’ on. You’re doing a mighty fine job.
