Babymoon in Ireland

I have the fondest memories of my babymoon in Ireland. Zach and I packed our bags when I was 20 weeks pregnant with Perry and traveled across Ireland, Scotland, and England over the course of two weeks.

We immediately fell in love with everything about Ireland – the people, the lush green landscapes, the castles, the breakfasts! Ireland was truly a magical place for such a magical time in our lives.

Perhaps I should write a post about how to plan a babymoon, what to pack, etc., but I will keep this one fairly concise. We did A LOT of walking and a LOT of traveling on this trip (so many flights, trains, and driving!). In retrospect, I would recommend focusing on one location as opposed to hopping through three countries. I ended up feeling fine because my pregnancy with Perry was fairly easy. It was just a tiring trip overall.

Packing light should also be a priority. The only things I packed relating to pregnancy were compression tights for the flights, my medical records, and some comfortable loungewear for when we were in our bed and breakfast.

What I adored about Ireland is that you don’t need to go to large tourist attractions to see beauty. Many of the images below were taken on the side of the road en route to our destination. Being surrounded by such awe was such a lovely experience.

I am sharing some of my favorite images from our babymoon in Ireland below. We began our trip in Dublin and roadtripped down the southeast coast, stopping in Kilkenny, Cobh, and Kinsale. We made our way back up the coast through Dingle and Galway. I included a couple Scotland images at the end (see if you can tell the difference!). Hope you enjoy!
