Family Session with Older Children

I know I photograph babies A LOT (and who can blame me), but I simply feel in love with this family session with older children. When mom Tamara reached out to me indicating her desire for meaningful portraits with her two older boys, I knew it was going to be so special.

We met at Brookside Gardens, one of my favorite garden photoshoot locations in the DC area on a foggy fall morning. As a former middle school teacher, I was prepared with all kinds of jokes and bribery for her two boys, but they were so incredibly sweet with their mom the whole time. We were able to document their loving relationship with their mother, father, and even their silly relationship with each other. It was…dare a I say it – a wonderful time? In all seriousness, this family session with older children truly tugged at my mama heartstrings. Our babies don’t stay babies, friends, and this older phase is just as beautiful.
