Glenview Mansion in MD is a great option for a photoshoot location, especially if you live in the Montgomery County area. Glenview Mansion is located in Rockville as part of the Civic Center.
The manor is a 1926 Neo-Classical Revival style house and surrounding property that includes some pretty stone archways and paths and small fountain.
What I like a lot about Glenview is that it is a good location for later in the morning. I photograph most sessions close to sunrise, which can be anytime between 6:30 am to 8 am. However, Glenview Mansion has a lot of trees, so the trees provide open shade so it’s not too bright. For this reason, I usually photograph between 8 and 9 am in the morning at Glenview.
Glenview is a location that also works later in the evening closer to sunset, too. It gets really pretty, soft light in the evening, so this location can work for both morning or evening.
