CeCe, our youngest child, is officially seven months old now. We have gone through A LOT of toys and baby gear amongst the three kids. We had no idea what we were doing with Perry, then we upgraded a lot of gear for Rosie, and now we have fine tuned what we really need and use with CeCe.
This post just has a couple favorite baby toys and gear that we employ daily. I’m an open book, so feel free to let me know if you have any questions on the items below!
Mombella
I’m obssesed with the Mombella. CeCe is obssessed with the Mombella. This little teether is so neat and will keep CeCe occupied for awhile – I just wish they had it when Rosie and Perry were this little! This mushroom teether is perfect for a few reasons. First, the mushroom stem is thin enough that babies can easily grasp it, wrapping their fingers all the way around. Second, they can chew on any part of the mushroom – the stem, trunk, umbrella, or nipples. Yes, nipples. That brings me to my third favorite part of the Mombella. It has two little nipple ears, and not only can babies chew on these, but they replicate a real nipple – so babies can suck on these like pacifiers, as well. The Mombella has come in handy big-time when we’ve left the house and forgotten the pacifier. We were gifted an orange one, but they come in many cute colors!
Baby Shusher
The Baby Shusher is not new, so I’m not sure why it took me so long to get on board with it. It basically sounds like a human voice shushing rhythmically to help babies get to sleep. Because it shushes in a rhythmic way with a human voice, it replicates a parent, and the rhythmic motion helps babies remember the heartbeat in the womb. I bring it with me to newborn sessions now, and it truly helps babies settle and get to sleep! It’s funny because I was doing the same kind of shushing before getting the Baby Shusher, so this simply does the work for you.
