The DAR Constitution Hall is the perfect location if you’re looking for both quintessential DC AND convenience, all in the same spot. A lot of downtown DC locations involve lots of walking and crowds (even in the early morning!), but not this one.

DAR is a gorgeous backdrop because of its Roman columns, streaming sunlight, and view of the Washington Monument. It’s usually quite peaceful with no one else around, making it the perfect location for children.

When it comes to family sessions, I usually recommend “easy” locations where we don’t need to worry about a lot of walking, distractions, or crowds, and DAR meets all of these standards.

This beautiful family met me on an early fall morning where we played and soaked up the sun, all while capturing gorgeous family memories.
