This DC Monuments family photo session on a lovely summer morning is STUNNING! Erin, her husband, and sweet baby boy met me at sunrise at the Lincoln Memorial. I did another Washington DC family session at the Lincoln Memorial here. Sessions in downtown DC take a lot of prep work. The goal is to make them look easy, and they are – with the right preparation!

Sessions at any of the DC monuments or memorials always take place at sunrise for optimal light and the least amount of crowds. Believe it or not, the monuments do get quite a bit foot traffic at sunrise! In fact, there were quite a few joggers running around the reflecting pool during our session!

Erin is part of the luxury membership, so we will also have two more sessions to complete the membership. I am so excited to see her family grow at her maternity and newborn sessions.
