This Alexandria VA newborn session in a garden was absolutely stunning! Lauren and Ben had the most beautiful National Arboretum maternity session that gave me all the Pride and Prejudice vibes. Naturally, their newborn session did not disappoint.

Rosie was the sweetest, most darling baby. She gracefully slept for half the session and then we enjoyed her company awake for the other half – definitely the best of both worlds!

Lauren and Ben opted to have their newborn session outside in Ben’s parents’ garden, and wow – it was the perfect setting! I am a huge fan of outdoor newborn sessions. You can see this stunning outdoor newborn session and then this outdoor studio newborn session here.

Babies are often calm, sleepy, and happy when outside due to the warmer temperatures and extra white noise. It makes for a peaceful session.

Lauren chose to have a luscious rose bouquet to compliment her darling Rosie, adding the perfect cherry on top to this gorgeous session.
