Let’s talk about this dreamy National Arboretum maternity session. It was the session of my dreams! Think Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen, Jane Eyre – this session portrayed classical feminine literature in the most beautiful setting.

Lauren and Ben had their National Arboretum maternity session on a summer morning. Morning sessions at the National Arboretum are ideal because it’s not too hot out, and we typically have most of the park to ourselves. We wandered from the rose garden to the columns. I love photographing on bright, sunny mornings, but I think I actually preferred the cloudy skies we had on this particular morning. The overcast sky brought out the rich blue and pink hues from the water and Lauren’s Zimmerman dress. Lauren actually mentioned how much she loves cloudy days, so it made the morning all the more perfect.

Lauren chose a beautiful rose matted print box for this maternity session. I am so excited to photograph her newborn session soon!
