This family session at Glenview Manor, Maryland was a special treat. The majority of my family sessions are with babies and young children. After all, children change so much over the course of such little time.
This session had a large family of teens, and my, was it fun! Many families focus on getting family photos done when their children are still so little, but it’s important to document all the phases of childhood. I know I’m biased since I am a Northern Virginia Family Photographer, but I promise you – every stage should be remembered! I adored documenting the personalities and relationships amongst family members for this session. Larger families have such a beautifully interesting dynamic, so this was truly a joy to observe and soak in.
This session was photographed at Glenview Mansion, and we narrowly avoided the rain. We diligently watched the forecast, and it finally stopped raining just as the session began. Although I love golden hour sun, an overcast forecast creates beautifully even light.
Mama and her daughters wore dresses from the client wardrobe, making the session aesthetic so classically elegant. I hope you enjoy this family session at Glenview Mansion.
