DC Newborn Session in Capital Hill

This DC Newborn Session in Capital Hill was almost entirely photographed in the family’s hallway! Yes, just their hallway. Why? Their hallway had the best light. We really only need a small space for a session, as long as there is ample light. When I first arrive at your home, I will look around and find the location with the best natural light – and sometimes it’s little nooks or hallways!

Baby Henry was absolutely a doll. He slept the entire session, so we were able to get a lot of cuddly images. I usually photograph newborns within the first two weeks of life for this reason. It’s not an absolute must, but it does allow the session to flow smoothly – and give us more flexibility with posing.

These sweet parents opted for an heirloom album from their session, perfectly documenting Henry and all of his adorable details.
